This has been one -hell- of a past couple of days...

  1. Saturday, I went to see Kiva and Owain Phyfe in concert- (a -very- seldom but truly remarkable occurence).
  2. Sunday, I went to "The L-Word" premiere, met a girl I really liked, and ended up chilling w/her throughout the evening n' having an amazing time.  For the first time brought a friend there, n' he ended up asking her out afterwards.  I'm pissed, (well okay, I'll admit it- royally), but that still doesn't take away from the amazing evening I- no WE- all had that night.  It was a good time, and I won't let one terd's actions ruin it. :)  She wa a great girl, and if anything happens w/them so beit.  And if not, that's okay too. :)
  3. Monday, slept.
  4. Tuesday, the first president w/African American heritage got sworn into office, and I sat down just in time to see it.  It was.. unbelievably good.   Honestly moving and powerful.  Full of great minds and staggering talent (they had poems spoken and songs performed by true musical greats), and I hope the sentiments spoken through those moments are transmitted through this country's next four to eight years as a nation- not just as a man's attempt at holding a position in office. :):)
This nation seems quietly but markedly different in some implacable way.  I hope and pray to God that it is for the Better, and if so- if this election really has in its very being done something great for this country- that we hold onto that feeling, inspiration and intention of greatneass, and that we all carry that with us from here on in, making us more of a ONE people, a ONE nation, united.  I pray we hold onto that peace, that love, camaraderie and unity- and hold onto it tightly w/our whole hearts as well as in our minds & in our bodies; and that we take w/us wherever we go, and express it from inside us with everything we do.  May kindness, love, oneness and friendship unite us all beyond any breakable bond, and make this world one of greater peace, hope, joy and prosperity- for all of us.  Everyone on this Earth; man, woman, child, young, old, reguardless or race, religion, nationality, creed or allegiance.  It's time to Belong, and to work for Love, responsability, truth, and trust. :)

For those who missed it, as well as in commemoration of the event; here's a link to a video of our 44th president's oath-taking & speech:

This is History that's happening here, people...  This moment, RIGHT NOW, will be written about in the history books.

..How will YOU remember it??

How will YOU be remembered??
