After a few really good inspirations and some serious ups and downs thanks to stuff just bein' PRICEY, I -finally- have reservations for Thursday night!! ^_^ (I'd tell you wehre, but it's a secret. ^_^ I'll tell folks more about it when Thursday's over. ;D:D)
Also, I received a bit of info from a mail list I'm on, and I thought it'd be a great thing to share in honour of the holiday. :):)
This Valentine's Day, consider opening your heart and your home to an animal who needs your love, and a safe, stable, happy forever-home. >^_^<
Whether you adopt through the agency in the link or visit a local shelter, you can save a life, bring happiness and love to a deserving, fuzzy soul, help heal wounds on the outside as well as the inside for those who've been mistreated, feed a hungry, needy tummy, and make a world of possibility open up in a life where once there may not have been any. Plus in doing so, you could welcome more warmth and joy into your life (as well as theirs) than could ever be expressed- even in the best Hallmark card... ^_^
In a related side-note, February Is National Prevent a Litter Month.
Every day, approximately 70,000 puppies and kittens are born in the United States alone, and 6 - 8 million animals are euthanized each year. A heartbreaking majority of these births will inevitably result in countless homeless, sick, diseased, suffering and euthanized animals, and WE CAN HELP!!!
The North Shore Animal League has a campaign to get the word out, and they've created an image that can really bring the impact of the problem home...
Do your part to prevent unwanted births by getting your pet spayed or neutered, encouraging others to do the same, and if you can, donate some of your time or money by giving to an organization you trust who's fighting to stop animal cruelty, and who's working to stem pet over-population- humanely and kindly. I received my reminder from the North Shore Animal League, but there are COUNTLESS other deserving animal organizations out there who could use your help. No matter who you choose, help shine a little light on a few fuzzy souls by donating, volunteering, or even by just going to your local shelter and lending your support by spending some time with some of their residents- be they temporary, or permanent.
If you can't, that's okay- just love the pet you might have at home, or if you don't have one, love on the fuzzy friends near you. :))))
Every Little Bit Helps. ^_^
Love Love Love Always,
Nae
