2. Owain Phyfe (a big name in the old VA Renn Faire, Starwood, Trad. Music and Rennie communities) is gonna play w/Kiva (a local folksy/pagan-y band of old MD Renn Faire days and the like) coming up on December 19th, 2008!  Anybody wanna come w/me? I can't wait!
    
3. I realize I have been clinically insane for the past 13 years or so.  Why?  Because I have been doing the same thing over and over again, (unsuccessfully, I might add)- watching and waiting for things to happen to me through the fullness of time w/little to no effect and/or effort (other than to increasingly frustrate the piss out of me and make me a more bitter person over the years), while continuously expecting different results.  I am making pains to remedy this, but it is not easy, and is quite frankly perty darned scary (well, for me at least).  I am mustering upt he courage to take singing lesons.  Planning on finding ways to get my art into everything from cafés to galleries (via research in and around DC and presenting my work to thsoe I feel would be receptive to it), and looking into bellydancing and fire dancing lessons.  I want to make myself into more of the person who I'd like to be, and that ain't gonna happen by wishing.  It'll take time, and I have to keep reminding myself of "baby steps," but I also have to keep pushing myself and mustering up the courage to TAKE those baby steps.  It's scary as hell confronting your dreams w/the potential cold, hard backside-kicking boot of reality, but dernit, I aim to do it. :)
