I went out to the theatre in Union Station via MA exclusively to go see "The Haunting of Molly Hartley."  I've seen previews for it for a while now, and I'd really like to catch it while it's still in theatres.  So yesterday I popped by IMDB, checked out locations and showtimes, n' made reserves to go see it today.

Welll, when I got there it turns out that the Phoenix (or whatever it's called) Theatre is not showing that movie this weekend, because of an Indian Film Festival.  As the teller kept reminding me from behind her safe, inch-thick glass and tiny-speaking hole; "it'll be back Monday."  So yeah.. I was- and still am, rather disgruntled.  They picked the one theatre that was showing my movie in it- to have this thing, and now I had come all the way out to DC & spent the $$ to get there and back for nothing.. :P  Yes, the movie was gonna be back another day- but I wasn't there another day- ya know?  My opps. to go out and do things are rather.. limited, you know?  So rather bummed I acquiesced to seeing Madagascar II- until I found out it was going to end -after- MA was scheduled to come pick me up.  Extra bummage.  I like the idea of seeing an Indian movie too, but wasn't in the mood for that at the time...  N'est ce pas?  It's like- ya go out for something you've reeealy been looking foward to, and when it's not there, sometimes you just don't want a substitute, ya know?  ..But they'll be playing the Indian movies throughout the week in other theatres- so I might pop over again and try to see 'em after all- if they're not subtitled. :)

So now what??  I was stuck in Union Station, w/nothing to do but waste time alone -again-,  until the 2.5 hours that I had to spend now were finally up..  :(

So what'd I do?  Why, as the estrogen in my veins demanded, of course!!   SHOP! ^_^
Even though I'd have loved to have some company, I decided to keep a positive attitude and fart a Union Station, while exploring its many stores.  And ya know what?  I had a GREAT time! ^_^  I got to see all the places I've never much explored there before, and it were pretty fun. :D  I went to Claire's and bought up some of ther super-cheapo Halloween sale stuffs, I found some gifts for a friend, popped over to FYE for a purchase-less browse (as their stuff is kinda pricey for me), plus I eventually made my way to a VERIZON STORE, (which, if you know me is something I've been needing to do for EONS 'cause my phone's battery SUCKS).  They're gonna send me a new bat. free 'cause mine's still under warranty, *glee* and I even got pointers on how I should address their CS, so I can hopefully get an EnV2 eventually. ^_^
They have some -lovely- shops there, n' after a meal and some shoppin', today was a really relaxing, unexpectedly fun treat. ^_^  See?  Sometimes it's a little clearer that God watches over us.. no?  My afternoon wasn't wasted, I got to treat myself to a little villainously ghetto Micky D's (which I never have), and found some gifties for friends, even. :D:D  OOH!  Plus -just- before I got the call from MA that my ride was outside, I was able to pop over by B. Dalton's, and got some BOOKS! :D:D  I snagged the "Zombie Survival Guide" (and I bet you thought I'd already have that, didn't you? ;D) and the first book from the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. ^_^  (If you're not already familiar, it's the books which inspired HBO's "True Blood" series- that I also enjoy as well. :))

So all in all, today was a good day. :D

Plus it's raining- which always smells and feels so crisp n' good, I got to sleep in 'till waaaaay too late, and now I'm gonna stay up and finish my most recent episode of Eclectica. :D:D

Yep, t'is a good day. *beams*
Hope it's a good one for all of you out there, too! ^_^
