I have no idea why; as I just got a timed ultimatum letter from them YESTERDAY, (w/a deadline of over a month back :P) asking for me to pay back money they say they overpaid me.. but today I just checked my bank account and there is a DECENT sum in there, sent on behalf of the US government. ^_^ (And it ain't no stimulus package, I can assure you!) I called the people at SSI just to make sure and to figure out what was going on (as well as to cover my butt in case it was a mistake), but it seems the facts are right (well, as far as their figures will ever be, anyway), and I AM indeed getting yon previously mentioned sum- correctly! O.O It's a little goofy the way they're doing things, and theoretically I should just be getting nothing ftm & starting the month/year off where they're concerned w/a clean slate, but I'm -NOT- gonna look a gift-horse in the mouth!! -Especially when I've been needing help so badly. ^_^ (And to all those who'd bitch about their paying my way through life, rest assured that w/all the work I put in this year, I'm footing my own bills.) :) So now I can pay whatever rent is left that I owe still, settle up w/my -outrageous- taxes (totalling no less than a grand), get the rest of my utils. clear, pay back those who helped me through this brief time of terror, and I'll be allll leveled up- for the time being. :) Hopefully by then I'll be ready to go into "my" new place come June 1st, at which point any of you who still wish to reach me can do so- via my cell phone number. :)

The Good:
My folks might have two chairs worth a TON of meney. ^_^ (Thanks to those who replied to my inquiry entry! :D:D)
After first hearing I'd have to go BACK up to DC yet AGAIN to do MORE fingerprints and fax the same damned 3 papers AGAIN to yet ANOTHER source, (I have no fax machine, so this is always a pisser), I got word that the application I have was going to be submitted anyway, and we're just gonna hope for the best, and that what we have submitted thus far will be enough. Oh, and that the numbers they needed which I read off to them are the right ones... For some reason despite all the copies I've faxed, scanned in, faxed and faxed AGAIN, one person didn't seem to have a copy, and they needed some number from it... I can't figger out why their office colleagues couldn't just fax the one I send THEM to her, but ey.. that's the red-tape busines... ... :P) But she called back and said she'd just submit what she's got, and hope then umbers are okay, so I DON'T have to go back to DC again, for one, brief errand. ;P ^_^ Yay!!!
I just entered submissions to be juried so I might get into the Art Show at the HorrorFind Weekend. ^_^ *hope hope* Keep you fingers crossed! :D:D
I just found (and ordered) these for my new home. *hope hope* I'm trying not to put the cart before the horse- so to speak- but it's really, really hard. ;)

I have -at last- found my wondermous, traditional Japanese dining set! ^_^ After YEARS of looking through stuff, I finally found something that I not only really like, but also that's -stupid- affordable! :D:D (Can we say $8 for a -full, well-made, ceramic double setting,- anyone?? :D:D) Sadly it's on back-order, but the earring stand I got (that holds 148 PAIRS of earrings, and is CLEAR!! *glee*) is on the way. ^_^ And that, that my friends was only $4!!! :D:D (I am SO excited about outfitting and decorating me and my kitties' new space!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D There's so much to do, so much to think about, and I just love it all. ^_^)
Anyway, enough w/the shop-talk. ;) On to the next category. :)

The Bad:
My throat hurts like a BITCH. And the odd thing is, just one side of it. :P:P It hurt just slightly for a while before I left, went away when I went to my folks', and then came back when I returned here. Obviously I chould try to find out what's causing it, but it wasn't bad, just slightly annoying- until yesterday. Unfortunately last night it hit with a VENGEANCE, feels like it might be going to my left ear, and.. ow. Swallowy=hurty, and now talky is equaling hurty, too- as is just.. being... :P Plus it's Saturday so I can't go to a doctor, and we have no drops, no Chloraseptic, and my gramma doesn't feel well either, so she won't go out so we can get some. :(
I didn't get into the alternative crafts fair I was hoping to show at. :(((

The Ugly:
